About the Chamber

The Overland Park Chamber of Commerce is a business organization working to build a more vibrant community by connecting companies and their representatives, pursuing economic development efforts and representing pro business interests through public policy and advocacy.

The mission of the Overland Park Chamber of Commerce is to enhance the business environment and quality of life in our community.

Through the united strength of 800+ members, the Overland Park Chamber of Commerce works to ensure a prosperous economic climate in which all businesses can thrive. Representing a wide variety of companies and organizations of all sizes from throughout the metropolitan area, the Chamber is continuously working to improve the business climate, increase business opportunities, and build a better community. It does things small businesses can't accomplish on their own.

The Overland Park Chamber is one of fewer than 1% of the nation’s chambers to earn Five Star accreditation from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

Membership in the Chamber is a great way for new businesses to get off the ground and for existing companies to expand. The Chamber provides dynamic links for any business looking to succeed and grow in today’s competitive market. From marketing and promotions to opportunities to connect with other business professionals, members have daily access to exclusive benefits and have many opportunities to participate in additional programs and sponsorships. Through a unique partnership with the City of Overland Park and more than 100 private investors, the Chamber’s Economic Development Council (EDC) works to enhance our community’s economic vitality by recruiting new companies and helping existing companies expand and create new jobs.

The Chamber’s lobbyist and the Public Policy & Advocacy Committee work on behalf of Chamber members, providing the business and economic development communities a voice in government and bringing the concerns of area employers to the attention of public officials.

For more than 20 years, the Overland Park Chamber Foundation has supported the Chamber by offering educational and informational programs – including Leadership Overland Park – for the business community and residents. The Chamber Foundation Building also has meeting rooms available to Chamber members and other groups.

The Chamber’s Young Professionals program was established to help local companies retain young talent and integrate younger employees into the community. It provides professional, social, philanthropic and mentoring opportunities.
