WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING

The Overland Park Chamber is without doubt a leading advocate for not only Johnson County businesses but also for the betterment of all who live and work in Overland Park.  While PNC's business is not particularly active or reliant on local business activity (most of our clients are out-of-town), the Chamber's work has been important for us in a number of ways.  Most importantly, when we moved to our current location in Corporate Woods much of the attraction was the overall work environment in the community, the amenities, the infrastructure, the local school systems and the livable neighborhoods for our employees.  The Chamber aggressively supports and pursues both the community and business excellence that our company enjoys here.  Since we made the move to Overland Park we have been able to easily recruit the kind of talented employees our work requires.  Also, during a period of expansion the Chamber's advice helped us to pursue and secure the tax incentives that we were eligible for and now enjoy the benefit of.  And if you just want to get involved or know more about what's going on in the local business and political environment, the Chamber provides an avenue to get that done!
- Steve Smith, PNC Bank

The Overland Park Chamber welcomed UnitedLex with open arms when we transitioned our corporate headquarters to Overland Park in 2011.  The Chamber has been instrumental to the successful growth of our local operations.  Because of that growth, the Chamber recognized UnitedLex for a Nova award in 2013.  Many of the Chamber staff have invested time over the years to ensure we know everyone in our field in the region.  The mayor has taken time out of his busy schedule to present to our organization, which was highly acclaimed by our employees.  The chamber has provided countless invaluable networking opportunities and sponsors many programs that are attractive to our organization and employees.  It has been fantastic to watch the community around us grow and improve as one of the best places to work and live in the nation.
