Wednesday Wake-up: A Business Before Hours
Start your work day off right by networking with your business colleagues at Wednesday Wake-up. This one-hour networking event is held 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at a Chamber member business. Wednesday Wrap-up: A Business After Hours
You’ve had a busy day at the office. Now it’s time to loosen the tie and join your business colleagues at Wednesday Wrap-up. This two-hour networking event is held 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on the 4th Wednesday of the month at a Chamber member business. It’s free to members of the Overland Park Chamber of Commerce, but advanced reservations are requested. For a schedule of host locations and to register, click here.
OP Chamber Connection
OP Chamber Connection is like speed dating – without the sweaty palms. Free and open only to Chamber members – this monthly event provides 60 minutes of pure networking with dozens of business contacts. Twenty minutes is dedicated to large group networking, the event sponsor receives 5 minutes for welcome and promotion, and 35 minutes is dedicated to small group networking. Chamber Connection is held the 3rd Thursday of the month at the Overland Park Chamber of Commerce, 9001 W. 110th St. Reservations 24 hours in advance are a must, as seating is limited. Education & Leadership
Business Education Series
As the community’s preeminent business resource, the Chamber Foundation provides the tools to keep business people trained and educated on topics relevant to today’s business. At this series of monthly seminars, our members share their knowledge and expertise with fellow members. Seminars are held from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at the Overland Park Chamber of Commerce, 9001 W. 110th St. The cost is $25 for Chamber members; $35 for non-members. Reservations are due 24 hours in advance. For a schedule of upcoming seminars and to register, click here.
The Chamber is accepting proposals from members who would like to present a Business Education Seminar in 2011. Proposals should be submitted to the Chamber by 5 p.m. on October 8, 2010. To download the RFP, click here.
Leadership Overland Park
Leadership Overland Park is a program that educates participants about the critical issues facing Overland Park, Johnson County and the metropolitan region, and helps develop leadership and stewardship skills necessary to resolve them. Leadership Overland Park features nine full-day classes held over a six-month period. The purpose of Leadership Overland Park is to ensure the continuing vitality of the community by providing a solid source of motivated leaders who are educated about the community and its issues, as well as trained to accept future leadership roles in the Overland Park area. Approximately 30 adult individuals are chosen by a selection committee made up of graduates of the program and chamber staff. Candidates are selected on the basis of written applications submitted to the selection committee. For more information about Leadership Overland Park, click here.

After the conclusion of the state legislative session, the Overland Park Chamber of Commerce holds this luncheon to honor all Johnson County legislators and thank them for their work on behalf of the business community.

Business to Business Expo – October 27, 2010
Designed to promote large and small businesses, the annual Business to Business Expo is a half-day trade show that allows businesses to showcase their products and services to other business professionals. With approximately 130 exhibitors participating, the Expo is a great place to promote your business and to learn about the products and services of other companies in the area. Annual Meeting - December 8, 2010
With attendance of approximately 700 business people, the Annual Meeting Luncheon is the largest event held by the Overland Park Chamber of Commerce. The formal event is an opportunity to reflect on the accomplishments of the past year and look ahead to goals of the coming year.
