Chamber EDC brings health care IT company to Aspiria

Overland Park, Kan., September 9, 2024 – The Overland Park Chamber Economic Development Council proudly announces that Healthcare IT Leaders will locate its new managed services hub on the Aspiria Campus in Overland Park. The full-service IT consultancy will create 25 new jobs with an average wage of $125,000. It moves into 10,520 square feet of office space, making a $1.9 million investment.

Healthcare IT Leaders connects its 450+ clients with experienced technical, clinical, financial, business and operational talent. The Overland Park offices will house key senior executives and provide a critical Midwest operational hub for the company, which has hundreds of employees around the country and offices in Atlanta, Ga.; Boston, Mass.; and Greenville, S.C.

Chamber economic development staff worked in partnership with the Kansas Department of Commerce and Kansas City Area Development Council (KCADC) on this project.

“The Overland Park Chamber and EDC are thrilled to have Healthcare IT Leaders join other prominent companies providing digital health services in Overland Park,” said Libbey Tucker, Chamber Senior Vice President of Economic Development.

“The company’s decision to establish offices here is testament to our growing reputation as a hub for innovation and health care excellence. This partnership will not only create high-quality jobs but also further enhance our region’s leadership in the technology and healthcare sectors. We look forward to supporting their growth and success in our community and appreciate the partnership efforts of KCADC and Kansas Department of Commerce.”

“The health care industry increasingly relies on firms like ours to manage significant parts of their infrastructure and application stack,” said Healthcare IT Leaders CEO Ben Hilmes, a former senior executive at Kansas City-based Cerner Corp. “By locating our managed services hub in the Kansas City region, we’re able to meet that demand and rapidly expand our operations by leveraging the area’s extensive health IT talent network.”
